Great Beaches at San Juan, Alicante city,Althea and the coast to Santa Pola and La Zenia are all about 1 hour by car. Take the scenic mountain routes or the faster motorways.

Days out
Lots of local winerys within 10 mins drive at Jumilla and Pinoso.
Murcia has great architecture, a wonderful old casino with a restaurant, great shopping centres and a water park.
Fortuna Spa town is 30km, wonderful scenic drive, dip in the 34C pool and have a therapeutic treatment at great prices.
Benidorm/Mar Menor and Murcia all have big water parks, Murcia is closest, 40-60 minutes
Golf at Alenda, 40 minutes, or Murcia, Mar Menor and Alicante.
Valencia makes a great day out, the historic city or the Oceanographic aquarium are both fantastic.
