Taking place in August the Jumilla Wine
Festival draws crowds from throughout Europe, a free wine fountain
is set up in the town, all the Spanish wear traditional costumes and
pour red wine over themselves, there is live music and all night
partying for those who can take it! The Festival starts mid August
and last about 2 weeks, great fun. This is fun for all the family
and all children are welcome everywhere.
" …The
best night out we have had in years, we had been warned that we might get sprinkled with wine, we were not expecting to get home at 3 in the morning sprayed from head to foot with wine having spend 6 hours dancing in the streets while the local wine producers gave away thousands of litres of their latest vintage.

"…Jumilla wine festival...what a party, late night markets, 100's of food stalls, doubling as street bars and great
entertainment, we arrived at the bandstand as the comedian took the stage, we watched everyone
else laughing as it was of course in Spanish and well beyone our basic levels!! So it was back to
the bar for us.."
